List of features that you get measured with Ottermap:

Turf/ Sod/ Lawn - Land covered with grass.

Mulch - A protective covering of sawdust, compost, or manure.

Flower Beds - Any ground beds where flowers are grown.

Rock Beds - Ground beds covered with rocks or stones. (usually found in desert states)

Soft Edge - Any boundary or edge where two soft-scape features meet.

Hard Edge - Any boundary or edge where a soft-scape feature meets a hardscape feature.

Tree - Any perennial plant with a spreading crown and woody main stem or trunk. Minimum height of 8 feet.

Private Sidewalk - A path for pedestrians to walk inside the property premises.

Public Sidewalk - A path for pedestrians to walk outside the property premise but adjacent to or connecting it.

All Sidewalks (Private + Public Sidewalk) - All sidewalks within and outside the property connecting it.]

Hedge - A row of bushes or small trees planted close together, especially to form a fence or boundary.

Palms - A palm tree.

Water Body/ Retention pond - A retention pond, also known as a retention basin or a wet pond, is an artificial lake used to hold stormwater, other runoff, or any other water body.

Parking Lots (Parking space + Driving lane)- Any area on a property used to park vehicles and drive in or out.

Parking Spaces - A designated area in the parking lot to park the vehicle.

Parking Drive Lane - Any marked or unmarked lanes in parking lots used to reach a parking space/ spot.

Pavements - Any hard paved surface.

Driveways/ Porch - A driveway is a type of private road for local access to one or a small group of private properties.

Concrete Surface - Any concrete paved surface.

Asphalt Surface - Any surface paved with asphalt.

Building Footprint - Building footprint is the perimeter of a building at the outer edge of the outside walls of the building.

Roadways - Any road used by vehicles within a property.

Docks - A dock is a paved surface made for loading or unloading goods or freight.
Log in to the platform with your credentials or if you are a new user then easily signup. Please note that your account will need to be activated by Ottermap team before you can access the platform. Once done, you can start measuring sites as easily as ordering a Sub!

Platform Dashboard
Once you log in, you will land on the platform dashboard. If you are a new user, there will be no previous record for recent properties and unfinished projects in your user account. You can initiate a search for any new address to measure.

Dashboard: Works as a Home button as well to return to the main screen.

My Projects: You can access all your orders or properties measured in the My Projects section.

Place new order: Search for any address here to start measuring properties for a new project or order You can also search for a property using lat-long coordinates. (units that represent the coordinates at the geographic coordinate system).

Event: Displays projects that are currently in progress for measurements and will be ready for review shortly.

Help: This section is for your assistance regarding the platform's working and other helpful details to get yourself acquainted with the platform.

Account Settings: Access your account and organisation setting with this option. Update password, profile information, organisation information, invite team members to join your organisation workspace, see activity and a lot more.

Log Out: Sign out of your account.

Recent Properties: This section displays the recent properties in your portfolio.

Unfinished Projects: This section displays the list of orders that have not been submitted for measurements i.e. properties in draft stage.

Address Search Bar: You can initiate a new order by filling the address in the address search bar and choosing one of the suggested addresses, please go through the Place a New Order section for step by step process.
Once a project is initiated, all properties become part of your portfolio and are stored on the cloud, which can be accessed from anywhere. If you wish to use the measurements of a previously measured property, you can come back and review and download them at anytime.
To access your properties, click on the My Projects button.
You’ll then be redirected to the My Property section, where you can review all your properties. Click on the address to review any property.
Note: Please note that this tedious procedure of submitting feedback is temporary. we’re working on a better version of the platform which will be available to users in the next 3 months i.e. September 2022.
We take utmost care while processing your orders however at times there might be a little more that needs to be done to serve you better and we understand it. Therefore, we are always open to your feedback and queries. For any issues related to the measurements, click on the Raise an issue for Maps button. This action will prompt a window in which you can fill in the details of the feedback.
You can take a snapshot of the area of the map, mark it and save it to your system in order to attach it to the feedback form to help us understand your issue better.
